There are various options for eliminating the supply of contraband, such as making it illegal to supply illegal manufacturers with equipment and products like cigarette filters.

Here are just a couple of simple ways you can help:

• Children and youth model behaviors and are especially influenced by friends, family members and other role models. If you don’t smoke, don’t start and if you do, quit or share with your children the struggles you’ve had in trying to quit. Keep your home smoke-free and talk to your children about the risks of smoking.
• Speak out against cheap, illegal cigarettes by contacting your elected representative and asking them to pass laws that fight contraband. Join the Society in its efforts by telling the government about your concerns.
