Healthy eating tips that are fast and simple!

You can help your children develop healthy eating habits now, which will stick with them for life.

But it may not always be easy to get your children to eat their meals, especially if they’re picky eaters. At the dinner table, you've likely heard your children say, “I don’t like that!” or “I don’t want to eat that!”

By following Canada’s Food Guide, you can help your family eat healthy. To get started, here are some simple and creative ways to turn those picky eaters into veggie and fruit lovers to help ensure they get the proper nutrients they need to be healthy.

6 tips to try at your children’s next meal or snack:

1. Sit down at the table with your children to eat together.
2. Shop and cook together (it will be hard for them to resist their own cooking!).
3. Serve raw vegetables instead of cooked.
4. Add fruit to your muffin mix.
5. Offer low-fat dips with vegetables.
6. Blend vegetables into your spaghetti sauce.

Here are more tips on how to pack nutritional punch into your children’s next meal or snack!
