My Family My Health – an easy online tool

Having a record of your family's health history is important because cancer researchers are recognizing that there are certain types of cancers that are linked with a family's health history.  That's why it's important for your children and their children to know about the family health history.

Consider using the My Family My Health tool or something similar to collect and document as much family health history as possible for the future. Don’t forget to update it often.

To be truly helpful, your family health tree should include your sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as your parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and even great grandparents. A chart that goes back three or more generations might be useful to you, your children and the doctors one day.
